Sustainability in the event industry isn’t about trends or buzzwords — it’s about responsibility, consistency, and thoughtful decision-making over time. At Grand Event Rentals, sustainability has always been part of the business model, long before it became a headline.
To bring transparency to this process and share what sustainability truly looks like behind the scenes, Grand Event Rentals has launched a new video series highlighting how everyday operational choices help reduce environmental impact while maintaining the highest standards of quality for clients and guests.
Led by President Eddie Redman, the series offers an honest look at how event rentals remain one of the original sustainable business models — built on reuse, longevity, and smart sourcing.
Sustainability Starts Close to Home
The first video in the series focuses on local and regional sourcing, beginning with one of the most essential components of any large-scale event: tents.
Grand Event Rentals’ tents are assembled through Tacoma, Washington, with aluminum manufactured in Portland, steel fittings sourced from Texas, and vinyl produced in the Midwest. By prioritizing regional suppliers and minimizing long-distance transportation, the company significantly reduces fossil fuel usage and logistical waste.
Buying as close to home as possible isn’t just a preference — it’s a deliberate strategy to lower carbon emissions, support domestic manufacturing, and ensure dependable supply chains.
The Original Sustainable Business Model
Event rentals were sustainable long before sustainability had a name. Reuse has always been at the heart of the industry. Every tent, table, linen, and structure is designed to be cleaned, maintained, and used again — reducing the need for disposable alternatives and unnecessary production.
Rather than relying on overseas shipping or single-use products, Grand Event Rentals focuses on buying locally, regionally, and nationally whenever possible. This approach not only supports sustainability goals but also ensures higher quality, better durability, and long-term value for clients.
Built to Last, Maintained to Reuse
Sustainability doesn’t stop at sourcing — it continues through maintenance and care.
Tent tops are cleaned, dried, and inspected after every event to ensure they’re ready for their next use. Linens are selected for higher thread counts and heavier weight so they last longer and feel better for guests. Tables are sourced from manufacturers who prioritize renewable materials and designs that can be refinished rather than replaced.
Each of these choices reduces waste while maintaining the elevated standards clients expect.
Small Decisions, Real Impact
Sustainability isn’t achieved through one large initiative. It’s built through hundreds of small, consistent decisions made every day — where products come from, how they’re transported, how they’re cared for, and how long they last.
This video series is about transparency and education — showing clients, partners, and the broader community how responsible event practices work in real life.
As the series continues, Grand Event Rentals will explore additional aspects of sustainable event infrastructure, vendor partnerships, and long-term product stewardship — all with the same guiding principle: doing what’s right, consistently.
Because real impact doesn’t come from shortcuts it comes from doing things the right way, every time.
